Tidewell

Years with a dated glass-block shower had left this bathroom feeling closed in, so opening it up became a major part of the renovation. For this Capistrano Beach bathroom remodel, we used a rustic contemporary direction that pairs natural warmth with cooler gray tones. Replacing the small stained-glass window with a much larger one brought in more light and created a better view from the freestanding tub beneath it. One of the client's biggest requests was a large walk-in shower without a door.

We planned a dry landing at the entrance so the shower could remain open while helping keep water contained within the enclosure. That change, along with the expanded window, gives the room a much more spacious and open feeling.
