The Newport Coast home already had strong Tuscan and traditional architecture, so our residential design work focused on furnishings and lighter updates rather than major construction. The new homeowner was considerably younger, which made the challenge one of respecting the existing shell without letting the finished rooms feel dated. We kept much of the furnishing palette neutral and layered in texture so the softer color story would still have depth. More abstract artwork brought in a fresher point of view and helped bridge the established architecture with the new furnishings. The result is a transitional interior that feels younger while still belonging naturally to the house.
