Because our client works from home and is regularly on video meetings, this home office in Trabuco Canyon needed to feel polished from every angle while still functioning comfortably day to day. Custom built-ins, artwork, sconces, and lighting beneath every shelf create a balanced background. An existing window interrupted that symmetry, so we lowered a shade over it and installed the cabinetry in front while leaving the window unchanged from the exterior. The desk floats in the center of the room, with floor outlets keeping cords from crossing the floor.

The bathroom takes a midcentury modern direction with a simpler contemporary finish. We built the palette around the client’s preferred floor tile, then used wood-look porcelain in the shower for warmth and a prefabricated niche for a cleaner surface without visible seams or grout lines inside it.
