The Spanish and Arts and Crafts character already present in this historic home gave us plenty to build from. In the kitchen, walnut cabinetry and natural Taj Mahal quartzite create a warm foundation, while a custom patterned backsplash introduces color in a way that still feels right for the house. We repeated colors and shapes from the backsplash in custom stained-glass windows, helping the newer elements feel tied to the home's original character.

The guest bathroom takes a more playful turn with deep teal tile wrapping the arched shower, floral wallpaper, green paneled walls, and aged-brass fixtures.

Another custom stained-glass window and vintage-style push-button switches continue the historic influence in smaller ways. We wanted the room to feel unexpected, but still believable as something that could have evolved with the home over time.
