NEWPORT COAST IV
Project Location
Newport Coast, CAProject Description
The owners of this Newport Coast home had a pallet of mostly whites and grays in mind when they called in our interior design team to revamp their kitchen, dining room, parlor, bathrooms, and master bedroom. The white marble counters in the kitchen contrast beautifully against the dark wood of the island, and the deep gray tile back splash. Stainless steel appliances add function and fashion to this chef’s kitchen. The dining room features a stunning beaded chain chandelier above a dark wood table, surrounded by eggshell toned low-back chairs. Graceful white curtains allow soft light into this room, working alongside some tall bare-branch décor to create an almost enchanted vibe. In the parlor, a reclaimed wood wall, marble coffee table, and bamboo decorations give a natural look, while the continued contrast between dark and light carry the theme from the rest of the space through this room. An ornamental mirror in the guest bath is a true statement piece, not to be upstaged by the bold modern chandelier in the stairway.
The only room in the home to have a true color pallet, at the request of our client, was the master bedroom with allows notes of teal blue in the decorative pillows, and in the paintings commissioned by a local artist for this space. A tall, chocolate brown headboard up against a mocha wall brings warmth to this room; the final touch on a masterpiece.
