The owners of this home, nestled in the City of Orange, came to our designers asking for a rustic style, with a modern twist. We took this concept and ran with it, bringing a touch of home-grown class in their parlor, family room, formal dining room, and guest bathroom. The family room has a warm, welcoming atmosphere created through white built in mantel, and matching open shelving contrasted against a taupe accent wall. The look is further completed with a stone fireplace surround, and large Roman numeral clock on one wall, and three large mirrors, reminiscent of country windows.The parlor, while equally stunning, has a much more formal feeling about it; vaulted ceilings, molding-framed wall paper, and neutral sofas surrounding a glass coffee table bring this room together. The guest bathroom uses a dark ceiling and white crown molding to create a bold contrast, with a patterned accent wall to keep the look from being too severe. The final piece to this masterpiece is the formal dining room. Taupe floor-to-ceiling curtains draw the eye up to an inset wallpapered ceiling, from which hangs a round, glass-shaded chandelier that perfectly blends the rustic & contemporary styles in this home.
